PlayFina in the UAE: A Site Labelled Arabic That Is Not
PlayFina runs a version of its site labelled “Arabic” that is entirely in English, with no right-to-left layout. Opened from an Emirates connection it does not even offer that version — it serves the English one, priced in euros. More seriously, when we opened its registration form, the United Arab Emirates was not in the list of countries you may sign up from. We checked that ourselves at the time of this review.
That is the headline, and it is unusual enough to need proving rather than asserting. The rest of this review is the evidence, plus the things PlayFina genuinely does better than its competitors — because there are several.
The Emirates Are Not on the Sign-Up List
PlayFina’s registration form offers a fixed list of 24 countries. The United Arab Emirates is not one of them. Neither is Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon or Morocco. The only Arab country on the list is Kuwait.
Here is the full list, read from the form itself: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain and Switzerland.
We did not want to report this from a single reading, so we checked it four ways. We pulled the pre-rendered data for four different regional versions of the site — including the one PlayFina labels Arabic — and every one returns the same 24 countries. We then read the brand’s own back-end configuration, which exposes a field named enabledCountry holding those same 24 entries, each with a dialling code. Kuwait carries +965. There is no +971.
A site can serve you pages and still not let you open an account. PlayFina markets a version at Arabic speakers, defaults it to dollars, and then offers a sign-up form that has no space for where you live. Before anything else on this page matters, check that you can actually register.
“Arabic-EN”: The Label Says It Out Loud
The language selector in PlayFina’s footer offers eleven options. One of them reads, literally, Arabic-EN. Select it and you get English.
We went looking for how that is configured, and the brand’s own data answers plainly. The language record carries the code AR-EN and the locale en-AR — English, for the Arabic region. It was created on 10 May 2023 and last touched on 3 July 2024. The page it serves declares lang="en", runs left-to-right, and contains not a single right-to-left style rule.
This is worth separating from ordinary corner-cutting. Cadoola offers 27 languages and simply has no Arabic among them — an absence, and an honest one. Wazamba declares its Arabic page as left-to-right in the markup but mirrors it correctly in CSS, so the reader gets the right result. PlayFina does something else: it puts the word Arabic in front of an English page.

For a reader who does not speak English, the difference between Cadoola and PlayFina is the difference between a door that is closed and a door painted to look open.
We would rather a brand said “we do not serve Arabic” than shipped a locale called Arabic-EN. The naming is not a translation bug; someone typed that label deliberately, and it has sat there since 2023.
Licence: Named, Which Is Rare — and Complicated
PlayFina does something none of the five brands in the Spinanga group manages: it tells you who it is. The footer of every page names Novatrix SRL, incorporated in Costa Rica under company registration number 3-102-893958, with a registered address in Cartago province.
After the company details, the same sentence continues: the site “is operating under E-gaming license No. 0000002 issued by Tobique Gaming Commission”. That is the licence a UAE visitor is shown.
Two things about it deserve stating plainly, and neither is an accusation. First, Costa Rica does not license online gambling. A Costa Rican SRL is an ordinary commercial company; incorporation there confers no gaming authorisation, and the footer does not claim otherwise — it names the licence separately. Second, the licence number 0000002 is, on its face, the second ever issued by that body.
Three Regulators, One Website
The picture gets harder to read the closer you look. Alongside the Tobique text, PlayFina loads two regulator seal scripts on every page: one from a Curaçao licensing service, and one from Anjouan, in the Comoros. And a second version of the footer text, held in the same content store, says something different again — that the site “is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros and operates under License No. ALSI-202508056-FI2”.
We since found how the site decides which of the two to show, and it is blunter than we assumed. The front-end code holds a list of exactly three country codes — India, Zimbabwe and Canada — and a condition beside it: visitors from those three are shown the Anjouan licence, everyone else is shown Tobique. The regulator a player is told about is not a fixed fact about the company; it is the output of one line of code reading their location. The Emirates fall outside the three, so the UAE gets the Tobique text.

Naming your company and a licence number puts PlayFina ahead of every brand in the Spinanga group, and we will not pretend otherwise. But three regulators across one website is not reassurance, it is noise — and noise is hard to escalate a complaint through.

A monthly cashback ceiling of $10,000 is more than three times the €3,000 weekly cap at BoaBoa, and the weekly rakeback at $5,000 sits on top of it. Everything above is quoted in dollars on the version PlayFina labels Arabic. The version an Emirates connection actually receives — the English one — prices the same offers in euros, as BoaBoa does. Even the currency you are shown depends on which door you came in through.
Judged only on its offers, PlayFina is one of the strongest casinos we have reviewed for this site. That is exactly why the registration problem matters so much: a $10,000 monthly cashback is worth nothing if the sign-up form has no line for where you live.
Games: 13,035 Titles From 89 Studios
PlayFina’s own marketing gives two different figures. The meta description on the main site says “thousands of games”; the brand’s landing site claims “11,000+”. We took neither.
We pulled the catalogue from the operator’s own front end on the Arabic-labelled version, one page at a time, and counted 13,035 distinct games from 89 studios on 4 September 2026 — more than the brand claims for itself. The largest catalogues are Games Global with 985 titles, KA Gaming with 904, Playtech with 644, Pragmatic Play with 610, Spinomenal with 602, and Evolution with 469 in live casino.
One caveat, stated plainly: that is the figure the front end serves, and we could not measure how much of it survives an Emirates connection. At Megapari the provider data exposes the gap between the full catalogue and what is locally available; PlayFina does not publish it. Assume provider licensing removes a slice before it reaches the Gulf — that has been true at every brand we have measured.
What we can confirm is the shape of the catalogue. The lobby splits into Slots, Live Casino, Hot, New, Instant Wins, Roulette, Bonus Buy, Blackjack, Jackpot and Table Games, with a dedicated bonus-buy section that is deeper than most. Ezugi appears in the provider data with a full country-by-country availability list, which is the sort of detail that only shows up when a real live-casino integration is in place.
We counted 13,035 games ourselves, which is higher than the brand advertises. But that is the figure the front end serves, not the figure playable from the Emirates — and the difference between the two is exactly what PlayFina does not publish.
Design and Navigation

It is clean, quick and reads left-to-right, because there is no right-to-left build to serve. The navigation is entirely in English, including on the version labelled Arabic.

We could not verify the deposit and withdrawal minimums, because PlayFina does not publish a payments page that lists them without an account. Where Spinrollz shows its full per-country table to anyone, PlayFina keeps it behind the login. We are not going to invent the numbers.
