A 40x requirement on the bonus is at the demanding end of the market but it is a normal number, and — crucially — it is measured on the bonus rather than on bonus plus deposit. Read that against the rest of this review and the tension is obvious. Correction. An earlier version of this review said the site published no withdrawal minimum, maximum, cap, timeframe or fee, and that the footer’s withdrawals link returned a 404. The link we followed did 404. The document did not: it lives at /withdrawal-policy, it is written in Arabic, and it contains the numbers. We should have found it, and the paragraph below replaces what we wrote.
The Withdrawal Policy sets a floor of $/€/£20 for every method except two — 200 for Inpay bank transfer and 50 for cryptocurrency — and anything below the floor is returned to your balance rather than paid. Above, it sets a ceiling: casino winnings over $30,000 or AED 100,000 are paid in instalments of that size every 30 days, and a jackpot may be spread over as many as 24 monthly payments at the operator’s discretion. Verification documents are listed in full — photo ID, both sides of the card with the middle eight digits masked, proof of address, and notarised copies where asked — and you get three days to supply them before a pending withdrawal is returned to your balance.
Two clauses in it deserve more attention than the rest. Withdrawals are paid back to the method you deposited with, and Mastercard and Eurocard cannot receive them at all: deposits made on those cards do not count towards your transaction balance, and you will be paid by another route entirely. Visa is restricted in some countries too. On a site displaying the Mastercard logo in its own footer, a player who funds an account that way should know before depositing that the money cannot go back the way it came. And a payment method left unused for twelve months may stop being available for withdrawal.
What the policy still does not give is a processing time. It promises to work as fast as it can and ties the pace to how quickly you return documents, which is honest as far as it goes and useless for planning. That is the one gap left in an otherwise complete document.

Deposit in dollars if your card allows it. The bonus is denominated in $/€/£ and the dirham is not offered, so funding in AED means paying your bank’s conversion spread on the way in and again on the way out — on a $1,000 deposit that is real money before a single spin.
What the Terms and Conditions Actually Contain
This section has been rewritten. The version of this review published in August argued that 888 Casino had no account contract at all — that the document you must accept in order to register was placeholder text, and that the restricted-country list, the withdrawal limits, the dormancy rules and the dispute forum went missing with it. That was wrong. The contract exists, it runs to tens of thousands of characters, and most of it is in Arabic. What follows is what is actually there, and how we came to read the wrong page.
The page that says “terms” is a placeholder
The footer link labelled site terms and conditions goes to /terms-and-conditions. That page is headed لوريم إيبسوم — the words “lorem ipsum” written out in Arabic script — and below it sits the Arabic rendering of the standard Cicero placeholder, the same paragraph five times over, and then the page ends. It is real and it is still there; we captured it again on 1 September 2026.
The clue we missed is in the page’s own title. The content management system calls it Long terms conditions banner — it is a banner slot that was published with placeholder copy inside it, and the footer points at it. .
The contract is real, current and in Arabic
/terms-conditions serves a document of 44,633 characters, marked version 2, dated 07/05/2026, and 79% of it is in Arabic. It runs to 24 numbered sections: acceptance, compliance with local law, permitted participation, intellectual property, your representations, prohibited uses, your account, payment and payment fraud, bonuses, the company’s obligations, disclaimers, limits of liability, breach, disputes, term and termination, sports betting rules, game regulations, the chat feature, customer service, exchange rates, governing law and language discrepancies.
The specific things we said were missing are, with one exception, in it:
- Which court hears a dispute — section 23. Curaçao law, and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Common Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. There is an alternative route as well: CADRE B.V., registration 165229, Scharlooweg 39, Willemstad, named on the dispute page with its rules of procedure and an international claim form.
- Dormancy and confiscation — after 180 days without a login the account is treated as inactive; after 30 days’ notice the operator may charge €5 a month or 5% of the balance, whichever is higher. After twelve months it may hold the balance and close the account, and you have thirty months from your last gambling transaction to reclaim what is left.
- Withdrawal limits, floors and fees — not here, but in the Withdrawal Policy, set out in the payments section above.
- A ceiling on bonus winnings — one we had not found at all. Win with restricted funds and you collect a maximum of $500; if you have never made a real-money deposit, $100. Verified progressive jackpots are exempt.
- Which countries may open an account — this one genuinely is absent. The contract names no country in either direction and puts the burden on the player. The twelve-country list exists, but in the platform configuration rather than in anything a reader is shown.
The rest of the legal shelf is there too, and it is not thin: a privacy policy of some 20,000 characters, an anti-money-laundering policy, KYC policies, a fairness and RNG testing page, self-exclusion and responsible-gambling pages, a dispute page, and 458,654 characters of sports betting rules carrying a maximum payout of $300,000 per ticket.
The one document that was never translated
Here is where the real problem is, and it is sharper than the one we thought we had found. Measure the Arabic in each of those documents and a pattern appears. The privacy policy is 81% Arabic. The anti-money-laundering policy, 78%. Responsible gambling, 76%. The withdrawal policy, 78%. The terms and conditions, 79%.
The document titled Account, Pay-outs and Bonuses — the one carrying the bonus policy, the wagering rules, the contribution table, the $500 winnings ceiling and the account-closure clauses — is 17,119 characters and 0% Arabic. Not partly translated. Not machine translated. Untouched.
And it is not a document a player can skip. Its own clause 1.1 states that by opening an account you agree to be bound by “The General Terms and Conditions, on this page”, the privacy policy, the game rules and the promotion terms. The Arabic reader is being asked to accept, in English, the rules governing his own money.
Three of these documents close with the same sentence, and the withdrawal policy says it in Arabic: the text was drafted in English, and where a translation differs from the English version, the English version prevails. So the Arabic a player reads is, by the operator’s own terms, not the version that binds him — and for the document that matters most, no Arabic exists to differ from it in the first place.
We got this one wrong in August and the correction cuts both ways. 888 has a proper rulebook, current to May 2026, mostly translated, with an ADR body named and a court named — more than most of this market manages. It also has a placeholder sitting where the footer says the terms are, and it leaves the single document that governs bonuses and payouts entirely in English on a site whose default language is Arabic. Read Account, Pay-outs and Bonuses before you deposit, in English, however good your Arabic is. It is the one that decides what you keep.
Who Actually Operates 888 Casino in the UAE
The home page tells you the site has “been around since ’97”, that “17+ million players” trust it, and then, in the same breath, that “we’re licensed through Curacao”. Those two facts belong to different companies, and the footer is where the seam shows.
The operator of the site serving this region is Sunflower Seed B.V., registered in the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce under number 157063 at Kaya Richard J. Beaujon Z/N, and licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board under licence OGL/2024/198/0418. Payments are handled by JD Just Tech Limited, a Cyprus company (HE 444273) acting as European payment agent on Sunflower Seed’s behalf. That licence number and that company appear together in the Curaçao regulator’s public online gaming register, so the licence itself is real and checkable — the GCB seal in the footer links to the certificate.
What that means in practice is worth stating plainly, because the branding works hard to obscure it. The 888 whose reputation dates to 1997 and whose seventeen million players are being invoked is the London-listed group, regulated in Britain, Malta and Gibraltar. The site you are playing on in the UAE is a Curaçao licensee that carries the name. A Curaçao licence is not a fake licence and the GCB regime is stricter than the old master-licence system it replaced — but it is a different regulator, a different complaints route and a different standard of protection from the one the “since ’97” line invites you to assume.
It is also the only offshore licence on this site that anyone can verify, which is more than Rabona manages. The problem here is not a missing licence. It is a rulebook that stops at the promotions.
“Since ’97” and “17+ million players” belong to a company listed in London. The site taking your deposit in Dubai is Sunflower Seed B.V., incorporated in Curaçao and licensed there. Both things are true at once, and only one of them is on the home page in large type.
Design and Navigation
This is the most conventional interface in this market, and that is meant as a compliment. A single dark bar across the top carries Home, Slots, Live Casino, 888bet, New Games, Casino Games, Jackpots, 888 Exclusive and Promotions — nine entries, each one a place rather than a menu that unfolds into more menus.

Customer Support
Correction. An earlier version of this review said no support email, telephone number or postal contact was published anywhere on the public site. Two email addresses are published, both inside documents we had not read at the time: support@888casino1.com, cited three times across the account contract and the withdrawal policy, and complaints@888casino1.com on the dispute page. The postal address of the operator is on the dispute page too.
What is genuinely missing is a telephone number and a live chat. The platform configuration ships with the chat widget switched off — the icon is configured to show, the widget itself is disabled — so the launcher you see does not open anything. There is an Arabic help centre at support.888casino1.com/hc/ar, linked from the top of every page, and the platform provides in-account messaging once you are registered.
So the picture is better than we described it and still thin: two working email addresses and an Arabic knowledge base, no phone, no chat, and a wait for a reply as the only route to a person.
The responsible-gambling side is better served than the commercial one. The footer carries 18+, GamCare, Gordon Moody and Gamblers Anonymous badges, and links to Responsible Gaming and Self-Exclusion pages.
No email, no telephone, no address. Every other brand we have reviewed publishes at least an address you can write to, and Melbet publishes a phone number. On a site whose account contract is placeholder text, being unable to ask a question before you register is the second problem compounding the first.
Security and Fair Play
The technical foundations are sound and better than most of this market. The platform is Playtech’s, one of the two or three largest in the industry; the live studios are Evolution and Playtech; payments run through Nuvei’s SafeCharge rather than an in-house processor; and the footer carries a Curaçao GCB certificate that resolves to a live verification page along with a Certified Payment Site badge.
The governance is more mixed than it first looks. The licence resolves, the rulebook is current and the dispute route is named. Against that, the footer link labelled “terms” has been pointing at a page of placeholder Latin for at least a month; the document that governs bonuses and payouts has never been translated on a site whose default language is Arabic; and no page tells a player in this region whether he is allowed to hold an account. For a player, the practical exposure is narrow but real: the clauses exist and can be pointed at, but the one deciding what you keep is in a language the site otherwise avoids.

Read that list top to bottom and the shape is clear: everything built by a supplier is excellent, and everything written by the operator is missing. We reported in August that the terms did not exist; they do, and we had read the placeholder.

888 Casino in the UAE is a better-run site than our August verdict allowed, and its problems are more specific. The product was never in doubt: Playtech underneath, Playtech Live supplying all 167 tables on top, fifteen of them 888’s own, a 33-game Age of the Gods progressive that has climbed past $526,000, a real sportsbook and a Nuvei cashier — on a catalogue of 1,800 games from 24 studios, nearly twice what the marketing claims.
The paperwork, which we said was absent, is mostly there: a contract current to May 2026, a withdrawal policy with floors and ceilings, an AML policy, a named court and a named ADR body, and a privacy policy of twenty thousand characters — the majority of it in Arabic. What is wrong is narrower and stranger. The footer link labelled “terms” opens a page of placeholder Latin. No document names a single country, in a market where knowing whether you may open an account is the first thing a player wants. And the one contract that decides what you keep — bonuses, wagering, payout ceilings, account closure — is the only one nobody translated.

The home page still borrows the credibility of a company listed in London for a site operated by a Curaçao company incorporated far more recently, and that gap is worth keeping in mind. But the licence is active, verifiable and registered against eleven mirror domains, so a player who lands on one of the numbered addresses can check he is in the right place — which is more than this market usually offers.
It suits a player who wants live tables above all else, is comfortable reading a contract in English, and either takes the bonus on the slots or skips it — because at 10% contribution the live floor and the welcome package pull in opposite directions. It suits less well anyone who wants the rules of his own account in his own language.
